EQUI-BONE- No. 1 in bone support!
EQUI-BONE- No. 1 in bone support!
Support Healthy Bone Development
Commercial "flex" products may provide joint support ingredients, like MSM, Glucosamine, Hyaluronic Acid, etc... but the elements included in those products focus only on supporting the tissue component of the joint. We focus on providing the optimal balance of nutrients required to support healthy bone development in one easy to feed formula.
3 Principles of EQUI-BONE:
- Support Circulation- We utilize Vitamin B and niacin, which research has proven, supports blood flow and circulation.
- Ideal Mineral Ratio for Calcium Solubility- It improves the rate at which calcium is converted to liquid, which means that it will be in its ideal state to be absorbed by the bone cells.
- Alkaline pH to Improve Calcium Retention- Specific conditions relating to to the mineral balance will greatly effect whether pH levels are alkaline or acidic, with the former being the preferable environment for successful bone remodeling.
THE POWDER VS. THE PELLET FORMULA
Our EQUI-BONE pellet will last one horse for 2 months at the loading rate.
The EQUI-BONE powder will last one horse for 2 1/2 months at the loading rate.
During the first 5 Months:
1,000-1,200lb Horse: Give 2 scoops, 2 times daily.
600-999lb Horse: Give 1.5 scoops 2 times daily
Under 600lbs: Give 1 scoop 2 times daily
Note: One bag of Equi-Bone pellets will last one 1,000-1,2000lb horse for approximately two months at the loading rate.
Note: You may stay on the loading phase longer if necessary but should not go shorter than 5 months.
For a proactive approach to supporting bone health:
1,000-1,200lb Horse: Give 1 scoop, 2 times daily
600-699lb Horse: Give 3/4 scoop, 2 times daily
Under 600lbs: Give 1/2 scoop, 2 times daily
For horses with calcium deposits/bone spurs (including ringbone and side bone) it is important to eliminate synthetic Vitamin D3 and outside sources of calcium from the diet. To do this TLC Animal Nutrition, Inc. suggests replacing commercial grains and any supplements containing significant amounts of these ingredients. Replacing alfalfa hay with a grass hay will also help reduce calcium intake as well and give us better control over the catalyst in what's contributing to development of the calcium deposit.
For horses with other injuries like navicular or fractures there is more versatility to give other supplements along with Equi-Bone, however switching over to the suggested feeding program would be ideal, but not 100% necessary.

My elder mare has been on equi.bone for several years & has been moving well & feeling good. It has made a huge difference & allowed her senior years to be active.
EquiBone has given our 3 performance horses the relief they have needed. Can tell a huge difference within a week!! Lameness has improved!
Great product! About 12 years ago we noticed an our quarter horse mare was showing lameness in her front so our farrier John Smith requested we get X-Rays because he suspected Navicular. And he was right. After it was confirmed John recommended equi-bone from TLC. At first we thought it was a little pricey but I’m glad we did. After about 6 weeks and special shoes our mare has been doing great. To this day we still give equi-bone. We had X-Rays re done one her about 3 years ago and the vets said he actually saw some repairing of the bone. I highly recommended this product
I first tried Bone Health (DBG) when my horse, Sackett was deemed done and was lame at a walk in the pasture :) After being on DBG (Bone Health) for 3 weeks he went totally sound and stayed that way for 10 years and now I have purchased the Bone Health for Mosquie over at Harmony Acres Equestrian Center and she is now doing that and sound once again :)
Great
